Reviews from satisfied clients

As I was planning my wedding, I had always dreamed of having a violinist perform on our special day. I came across Patrick playing in our local CBD, and from the moment I heard him, I knew he was incredibly talented. The beautiful sound of his violin was unforgettable.

We were so fortunate to have Patrick perform at our wedding, and he exceeded every expectation. He was flexible and accommodating when it came to rehearsing beforehand, and on the day he arrived promptly, presented beautifully, and played so well.

Patrick is not only an exceptionally talented musician but also friendly, approachable, and genuinely kind. His music created such a special atmosphere, and we received so many compliments from our guests.

I couldn't recommend Patrick more highly to anyone looking for a violinist for their wedding or special event. Thank you, Patrick, for helping make our day so memorable.

Biography/Experience

artscape b&w hall.png

I have a broad range of experience having played in various orchestras and ensembles, many collaborations on different projects with other artists and my own work as a solo artist.

I began playing violin at the age of 8 under a classically trained teacher who nurtured my early strings learning with his unique approach to teaching using his own program, playing in his orchestra with other students also. I then went on to have lessons with several other teachers as I moved around the east coast of australia between schools. It was during my teenage years that I became particularly interested in Traditional Celtic music and delved right into learning tunes on my own. Later on I was privileged enough to learn from a master musician in Ireland who furthered my technique through online lessons over video call. I currently continue my learning of new tunes and techniques, and regularly attend my local session here on the NW coast, in addition to my street performances.

I also enjoy experimenting with playing some contemporary modern music as well, having spent my last year of high school studying this musical subject area for a whole day every week in a wonderfully talented group of musicians, under the guidance of an enthusiastic and supportive teacher, with a focus mainly on rock and pop spanning the decades, but some other musical genres also.

I have been involved in many different and varied collaborations with other musicians and creatives throughout my artistic career, including projects with BIGhART and NWSS at a local level, event management and technical assistance/backstage help for Solferino Cinemas and 3 Sisters Youth Theatre in NSW, and being involved in school productions during my education.
